* This changeset adds master_span as an attribute of the span's driver:
/sys/bus/dahdi_spans/drivers/generic_lowlevel/master_span
* This is mainly used for debugging.
* Reading from it the master span number (or 0 if there is no master
span).
* Writing a number to it, force specified span to be master
* Existing Alternatives:
- grep "MASTER" from /proc/dahdi/*
- cat /sys/bus/dahdi_spans/devices/span-*/is_sync_master

* Passed to udev as DAHDI_TOOLS_ROOTDIR environment variable
* Default is "/"
* Deprecates the parameter initdir:
- Defaults to $DAHDI_TOOLS_ROOTDIR/usr/share/dahdi
- If specified: taken relative to $DAHDI_TOOLS_ROOTDIR
- Setting both parameters explicitly is prohibited.

* In old kernels (e.g: 2.6.18) sysfs file names must be shorter
then KOBJ_NAME_LEN.
* Longer names are truncated and this leads to duplicate names
which fails device_register()
Examples: "dahdi!channels!10!10" is truncated to "dahdi!channels!10!1"
* The fix shorten the names and make them fixed length. Example:
"dahdi!chan!010!010"
* It seems no current userspace tools rely on that name or on
/dev/dahdi/channels .

This patch exposes the span 'lineconfig' via sysfs: textual representation
of the framing and coding of the span.
This is needed in order for the Dahdi perl classes (in tools) to get
the inforamtion for e.g. dahdi_genconf to work without the guesswork of
parsing /proc/dahdi .

Build the OSLEC echo canceller (drivers/staging/echo and
dahdi_echocan_oslec) if the code of oslec is present in the tree.
Also closing another issue regarding documentation of building OSLEC,
as it is now even clearer than before.
Patch has been used in the Debian package for quite some time.

TE820 is an 8-span PCI-express digital interface card. VPMOCT256 is a hardware
echo canceler that is able to provide echo cancelation on all 8-spans.

Since there isn't a fixed array to hold all the channels, and also limit
the total number of channels that can be created, we'll add a module
parameter to allow the system administrator to specify the maximum
number of pseudo channels. This is to prevent a potentially
non-privledged process from consuming too much CPU (since all pseudos
are checked each "tick" for conferencing) and kernel memory.
By default the number of pseudo channels is limited to 512. Change the
default limit with:
]# modprobe dahdi max_pseudo_channels=<new limit>
or at runtime with:
]# echo <new limit> > /sys/module/dahdi/parameters/max_psuedo_channels

This needs some more testing before it's on by default. If the card is
otherwise functioning, these messages may be confusing to the user. If
the card is not functioning, the driver can be reloaded with debug to
check for this condition.
