BigBlueButton 2.2 requires Java 8 as the default Java. Recently, some Ubuntu 16.04 distributions have switched the default version of Java to Java 9 (or later).
Use `java -version` to check that the default version of `1.8.0`.

If you join a meeting and the default presentation is not visible or your uploaded presentation doesn't display, then this is most likely due to a permissions error. To solve this, ensure that `/var/bigbluebutton/` is owned by `bigbluebutton` rather than `root` or any other account.
